Feb. 19, 2019WHITAKERS — William “Bill” Hurley Babb Jr., 65, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2019. Funeral services were held Saturday at Cornerstone Funeral Home with Ricky Tucker officiating. Burial followed in Forest Hills Cemetery, Nashville. He was born Sept. 27, 1953 in Suffolk, Virginia, to the late William Babb Sr. and Barbara Spivey. Bill loved his Lord and Savior, his family, the Carolina Panthers, Virginia Tech, Western movies, a good bargain, and he loved his cat, Boo Boo. He retired from DPS after 20 years. Bill served his country during the Vietnam conflict.He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 11 years, Debra Glover Babb; daughter, Ashley Babb Cole; stepsons, Brian and Paul Dunlow; brothers, Darrell Walker and Mark Babb (Jennifer); sisters, Melanie Prewitt and Michelle McPherson (Steve); in-laws, Edward and Ann Glover; sisters-in-law, Kathy G. Kelly and Wanda G. Price; grandchildren, Ronald Grant IV, Jesse Grant and Hailey Cole; and several nieces and nephews.Cornerstone Funeral Home, 1052 S.
